Vril is a biological energy system unique to Sessians. It’s produced through the activation of
Serenicity — a bioenergetic compound generated in the bloodstream during kinetic activity.
Serenicity Production
Serenicity forms when Sess cells collide under kinetic stress caused by the natural beating of the heart.
Once produced, Serenicity flows through the bloodstream and interacts with neurochemical receptors in the brain.
When the concentration reaches a certain threshold, it triggers the activation of Vril pathways.
Vril Cortex
The Vril Cortex is a specialized region of the Sessian brain responsible for interpreting Serenicity signals.
It translates these signals into neural commands that activate specific Vril abilities.
In some Sessians — known as Pele individuals — the cortex is highly elastic, allowing multiple Vril pathways to coexist.
This flexibility comes at a cost: higher Serenicity consumption and greater instability.
Vril Class Breakdown
Vril manifests differently between individuals, forming nine primary classifications based on the type of energy or element they manipulate:
- Astertiff – Thermal and energetic forces
- Teraclod – Earth, minerals, and metals
- Wildtrack – Animal control and shapeshifting
- Floralock – Plant life and organic growth
- Seadrop – Water and liquid manipulation
- Galepick – Air, motion, and gravitational force
- Portwave – Sound, telepathy, and resonance
- Morseful – Empathy, restoration, and psychic healing
- Selrene – Alchemy and ethereal transmutation
Each class contains endless variations — no two Sessians express their Vril identically.

Vrils in Action
A Sessian’s Vril expression depends on their genetics, neural wiring, and the composition of their Sess cells.
For example, two Astertiffs may display vastly different powers — one producing flame, another controlling plasma or electromagnetic energy.
The limits of a Sessian’s Vril are determined by Serenicity levels, genetic resilience, and physical endurance.
Pele: A Gift or a Curse?
Pele Sessians can manifest more than one Vril class.
Most have two to three active Vrils; rare cases may reach four.
However, this comes with higher metabolic cost, faster fatigue, and the risk of
Vrilpass — a dangerous state of Serenicity overload.
Beware of Vrilpass (Overload)
Vrilpass occurs when Serenicity levels exceed what the body or brain can regulate.
This leads to involuntary Vril activation, loss of control, and potential harm to self or surroundings.
Recovery typically requires rest, emotional stabilization, or external dampening techniques.
Extended Vrilpass results in exhaustion and unconsciousness as the Vril Cortex shuts down.
In rare, extreme cases, the cortex fails to deactivate, leading to total Serenicity depletion — and death.
The Social Implications of Vril
Vril ability determines social hierarchy within Sessian culture.
Those with spectacular or destructive Vrils — such as Astertiff or Wildtrack — are revered, while subtle or supportive Vrils are undervalued.
This hierarchy encourages competition, overexertion, and sometimes fatal Vrilpass incidents.
Despite this, many low-class Vrils, such as Seadrop or Floralock, are essential to Sessian survival.
