Are you familiar with Pareidolia? It’s the phenomenon of seeing faces in inanimate objects. It’s a fascinating psychological occurrence where our brains recognize familiar patterns, such as faces, in random stimuli. It’s why we can spot faces in clouds, the front of cars, or even religious figures on toast! Our brains are wired to detect faces quickly, likely a survival tool.

But what good is it in modern times?

Insanityβ€” I mean Creativity!

Seeing shadowy beasts in fallen forest logs, faces in the distant stars, or ghouls in the foggy underbrush really gets your creative mind going.

That said, living on an acreage in one of the most beautiful mountain valleys in the world means I get to see fantasy everywhere I turn.

I’m a nature lover, that much is clear. I chose to surround myself with giant cedars, pines, dogwoods, wildflowers, spruce, creeks, osprey, hawks, butterflies, and more! Life here means I witness the beauty of the natural world.

With all this magnificence surrounding me, who wouldn’t be inspired? The snow-capped mountains cast down their ancient knowledge, the green river whispers its traveling stories, and the birds sing of what’s to come next.

Every day here is captivating. Every day, I’m reminded how lucky I am to find inspiration in a world that no screen, book, or webpage could ever truly capture.
